What You’ll Do

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Membership Specialist to join our Association Services team! In this position, you’ll be part of a team that successfully grows and retains our associate membership base and increases engagement by building valuable, long-term relationships with our associate members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to help others and be able to sell the value of products and services to existing and prospective associate members. We will look to you to provide superior member service with a personal, professional touch.

In addition, you'll

  • Support the Association's industry suppliers and associate members, by successfully managing the relationship to ensure alignment with our organization’s mission and purpose
  • Prospect for new associate members and be able to articulate member benefits to prospective members, thinking through how each benefit could match up with their specific needs
  • Deliver excellent service and foster relationships with Associate Members and Independent Manufacturer Representative members to reinforce engagement and aid retention efforts, and expand services reach to existing associate members
  • Assist with the collection, administration, tracking, and reporting of associate member company data, process memberships and renewals, and maintain records and related data in a timely manner
  • Support and coordinate with other Member Service Teams / Programs on related offerings, products, and member programs
  • Participate in staff meetings and interact with all departments as required to reach the goals of the Association Services department
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Education / Experience

  • High school degree or higher with a minimum of 3 years' work experience
  • 1 year experience in sales or recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members, clients, or customer accounts
  • 1-3 years professional work experience in membership, member engagement, committee support or a combination, preferably in a nonprofit or association environment
  • Knowledge and previous use of customer relationship management (CRM) database (such as Salesforce or similar). Previous experience in Association Management Systems preferred.
  • Be self-motivated with good organizational skills
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Reliable, flexible team player who works well with others
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and to meet deadlines

Work Hours
40-Hour Work Week – Full Time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
